Trust Me, Try it: Starface Hydro-Patches
Just as I was winning the battle against my acne the world went into lockdown. While I do count myself lucky to be an essential worker, the constant mask-wearing began to undo all the progress I had made in the past year. The chafing on the lower half of my face brought on painful pimples which left dark marks in their wake.
I had been recommended silk masks, but they were out of my price range, so when I saw Starface’s Hydro-Patches online I decided to experiment.
I’d tried overnight spot patches in the past, but I always woke up with them stuck to my pillow. What attracted me to Starface’s range was, you guessed it, their star shape. Those points act as tiny arms that cling to your face while you lie on your pillow or, I figured, wear a mask.
I placed three stars on the whiteheads on my chin and wore a fabric mask on top. I didn’t feel the patches budge at all while I chatted to customers or removed my mask for water breaks. At the end of the day, I removed my little stars and was amazed at the results.
The patches hadn’t just protected my skin from irritation, they reduced the redness and inflammation dramatically. My whiteheads had drained but the antibacterial stars had kept them clean and cared for. I wore another three to bed that night and woke up – stars still attached! - to find my skin was already healing over. It was hard to believe that my spots were only two days old.
Hydro-Patches are now a regular part of my morning and nightly routine. While I’m under so much daily stress, it’s so nice to have a spot treatment that’s effective, affordable and adorable.
